5 Indoor Plants That are Easy to Care For Post Image

Plants add life to almost any space.

Including indoor plants in your living space can instantly add some extra personality to your home. But, not all of us are natural green-thumbs. We all know someone who has a home garden full of withering plants. That person might in fact be you! Not to worry. That doesn't have to be the case.

Not all house plants are created equal. Some are far easier to take care of than others. Selecting the right plants for your environment and commitment level can make all of the difference.  With so many options available, choosing the right ones might seem daunting. Which plants should you choose?

While we suggest doing a bit of research, we've compiled a list of popular indoor plants that are stunning and easy to care for at the same time.

Pothos

Also called the devil's Ivy, Pothos is known for being able to withstand dark environments as well as under and over-watering. The perfect plant for those worried about a sun in their apartment or busy schedule.

Jade Plant

This plant is amazing because it can go almost a month without water due to its leaves' ability to retain moisture. As long as you leave this plant in the window, it will mostly take care of itself.

Aloe

This plant actually prefers indirect light, so positioning it in your apartment shouldn't be a big task. Your Aloe plant should be just fine living on your desk or coffee table. It also has air purifying qualities perfect for enclosed spaces like an apartment or condo. While the Aloe is very resilient, just remember to water it weekly.

Snake Plant

Native to areas of Europe, Africa, and Asia, Snake Plants make a great addition to any home garden. With stiff, spiky, and broad leaves, they add substance to any area they are added to. The best part is that they can survive a month without water, making it the perfect plant for those just starting their indoor plant display.

Spider Plant

This plant's many sprawling leaves resembling long legs giving it its name. These plants are easy to care for and only need indirect sunlight, so keep it off of the windowsill. It also is known for its air-purifying properties for easy breathing in your apartment.

If you are thinking about adding some easy indoor plants to your home, consider these options. You won't have to worry about high maintenance or your plants withering away.
